Vampire Hunter D
Home/Change Series
Vampire Hunter D is a prime example of understated, subtle excellence. The people involved in making it, from Amano for the character designs, to Shiozawa Kaneto for D's seiyuu are all tops in their field.
The first movie itself has a beautifully dreamy feel to it, which only counterpoints the horrific elements more dramatically.
For some reason, nothing has fueled my writing quite so much as this particular angsty dhampir.

D's contemporary song in my gallery is Eric Stuart's 'Blue, Dressed In Black'
If the truth be known It's all a clever disguise. On this mighty throne Sits a king who slowly dies.
The queen is gone.. I think she lost her head. Will I carry on Or will they carry me out instead?
I'm running out of reasons To keep it under my hat, 'Cause I'll tell you where it's at.
I'm blue, dressed in black I'm blue, dressed in black I'm blue, dressed in black I'm blue, dressed in black
While inside I grieve I wear this mask of pretend.. It's all make-believe. I'm only fooling myself again.
I tell myself I'm healing 'Til my fiction turns to fact. But it's all part of the act.
I'm blue, dressed in black I'm blue, dressed in black I'm blue, dressed in black I'm blue, dressed in black
